Webster Bank Arena has been awarded the East Regional of the 2022 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. The University of Connecticut and Fairfield University will serve as co-hosts of the event.

The intensity and excitement is always exceptional.”      

Webster Bank Arena last held the regional finals in 2017 and has hosted the tournament seven times overall since 2004. It was home to first and second round games in 2004, 2008 and 2012, and the regional finals in 2006, 2013, 2016 and 2017.

UConn has been the most frequent team to make an appearance in NCAA Tournament games at Webster Bank Arena (14). The Huskies played in front of capacity crowds of 8,830 and 8,978 in 2017, defeating UCLA and Oregon respectively.
